DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!

I BOUGHT A BAKERY with a very dear friend of mine. I've never thought I could achieve this in my late twenties/early thirties.... but I did. And this is all because I have such a wonderful friend. He not only pulled me out of unemployment but also made me realized that I can make a difference in my life as well as others.

It's a quaint little bakery on Hopkins Street and deservedly named Hopkins Street Bakery. The bakery itself has been there for about 25 to 30 years and we took over the ownership last July. Although there has been a lot of drama in the beginning, we've managed to overcome that and now the bakery is one happy family.

I have E.K to thank and my supporting other half... DBD... also my family whom have lend a helping hand and listen to me bitch and yell at the ex-dramatic crazy pastry chef (who's long gone and I'm happier than ever).

More updates to come~

proudest thing i've done during the past year

I adopted a dog... formally adopted a dog with paperwork and all. His name is Seal and my then boyfriend, now husband, and I adopted him through Milo Foundation.

He's a Corgi/Terrier mix and has ginormous ears and really really short legs + a long body. His coat is exactly like the colors of a real seal... black and brown... he sits on his side and someone once told me that he sits with a "swagga"! That made me proud and feel like I belong in the "African American" community now... since it was coming from my security guard of my old apartment building.

Seal loves going to Pt. Isabel which I would recommend to any dog owner since it's a doggy heaven~ he enjoys sunbathing and herding furniture (well, he ain't got nothing else to herd).

Currently overweight since he ate my chicken salad sandwich one day while I went grocery shopping and stupidly enough, I left the sandwich on the passenger seat. But that's not the only time he chowed down some goodies... he once ate a ham & cheese croissant and a Pain au Lait dinner roll all in one sitting... also ate some Kit Kat bars while DBD and I went grocery shopping... so it's no surprise that his fat...

More of Seal to come~
